The JP Tower Museum INTERMEDIATHEQUE (IMT) is opening the special exhibition “PHOTO LOGIC - Yoshitomo Tanaka x IMT”
This exhibition is a collaboration between the photographer, Yoshitomo Tanaka, and Intermediatheque.
Yoshitomo Tanaka has been working as a photographer for 40 years. In his 40 years of photography, Mr. Tanaka has taken photographs of many people, from children to elders, craftsmen, actors, artists, and others in their expressive and natural forms, under the creed of “capturing qualities”.
In addition to photographs of people, academic specimens and the exhibition space of the Intermediatheque, this exhibition features about 30 of his works, including his most famous work, "SUPER OLD", as well as previously unpublished works.
The exhibition catalogue will consist of approximately 50 works.
In addition, a "photography studio" with professional equipment will be set up in the exhibition room, where Mr. Tanaka himself will hold several “photo shoots” primarily for children.
In the midst of the current restrictive conditions, we hope to create a chance to revisit affinity through the medium of photography, using the museum as a stage where people can communicate with each other and with objects.
