The collection donated from Wild Bird Museum (Gifu prefecture, closed in 2008) by Keikichi and Masao Oita. The museum was established for education and reservation of wild birds, but stored some mammal specimen adding to a large collection of birds because the museum was to show the natural history of the country, also. Here we display these mammals, or our “neighbors”, that live around us but difficult to see.
