The University of Tokyo Mammal Stuffed Specimen Collection

概要

The University of Tokyo collected countless of specimen in the long history of 130 years. In the days that image technology was less advanced, stuffed specimens had numerous values by showing real form of the strange animals. These have value still now, because some of them are rare nowadays and some tells our history. For example, earless seal was common in Hokkaido in past days, and Leopard Cat from Taiwan was “Japanese animal” in those days.
