概要
Most animals use their limbs for locomotion. The bone strength, the joint position and its mobility, as well as the muscle origin/insertion and orientation all depend on the shape of bones. The locomotion ability of the animal therefore varies according to the shape of its bones. Locomotion of cursorial animals such as the goat (Bovidae, Cetartiodactyla) relies on the extension/flexion of the joints on the sagittal plane.
